£40 off a set of any 4 Plain Foxed Editions | Celebrating Books that Endure

‘We wanted to celebrate books that endure, which obviously includes the classics that everybody knows about, but also the many minor gems that might not have received the attention they deserved when they first came out, and haven’t gone onto people’s radars.’ – Slightly Foxed co-founder and editor Gail Pirkis in conversation with Jo Rodgers for TOAST Magazine’s Book Club

Greetings from Slightly Foxed HQ, where crocuses are peaking their heads out in the square and in the office we are beginning preparations for the spring dispatch.

Some of you may know that 2026 marks the National Year of Reading, a UK-wide campaign designed to inspire people to make reading a more regular part of their lives. If you subscribe to our newsletter, we suspect that you are already an avid reader and understand just how much entertainment, distraction and companionship books provide.

To celebrate the National Year of Reading and hopefully clear a little space on our bookshelves for the forthcoming season’s titles, throughout February when you add a set of any four (or eight, twelve, sixteen or all twenty) individual Plain Foxed Editions to your basket you will automatically receive £10 off each book.

As an SF reader once wrote, our list of memoirs will  ‘remind you of what it really means to be a reader: to be endlessly intrigued and delighted by what we can learn from books, and how they can both challenge and console us’. Bound in duck-egg blue cloth with a silk ribbon marker, the Plain Foxed Editions are handsome reissues of our most popular memoirs and biographies, titles that we believe are an essential addition to any bookshelf. We do hope you’ll agree and be tempted to stock up now.

We’ll be in touch again soon with news of our spring titles.

With thanks and best wishes from the SF office staff

Isabel, Rebecca, Edie, Ruth & Jennie
