‘As I mentioned in the previous post, I’m very fond of this little book review, which drops through the door four times a year. I suppose its chief charm, now that I study English literature, is to show me books I would never come across in my degree. It’s very easy for me to concentrate on canonical literature, so Slightly Foxed, with its charming blend of classics, books which used to be well-known, and books which have slipped silently out of print, is a breath of friendly fresh air . . .’
