With summer in full swing and school holidays looming, we thought it a good moment to shine a light on some of our beautiful books for children and nostalgic grown-ups – Foxed staff included.
Slightly Foxed Cubs is a series of collectable children’s books which strike a chord with many older readers and introduce a younger generation to writers whose marvellous books have, unaccountably, been allowed to slip out of print. Brendon Chase, written by Denys Watkins-Pitchford (1905–90) under the pseudonym ‘BB’, is one such offering.
