If we know our readers – and we hope we do! – we suspect that, like us, many of you will be in need of some light relief following recent events at Blossom Hill Cottage. (The Archers was of course top of the agenda at this week’s staff meeting.) In the wake of such high drama, the rather unlikely combined forces of ITV and Slightly Foxed can provide just the sort of escapist entertainment required, in the form of the new Sunday night television programme, The Durrells, a six part series based on My Family and Other Animals (our 28th SF Edition).
Following last Sunday’s first episode our handsome limited edition, with its Aegean blue cloth and sunny endpapers, is flying off the shelves so if you haven’t yet claimed your copy please do so now before it sells out. Usually at this point in our introduction we’d witter on a little about this month’s chosen book to encourage you further but Gerry Durrell can do this infinitely better himself. So, without further ado, off we go to the island paradise of Corfu, to the Strawberry-Pink Villa. Until next time!
