We are delighted to announce the winner of the 2014 Slightly Foxed Best First Biography Prize. The Prize dinner was held in the splendour of the National Liberal Club on Friday night, and we can now reveal the very worthy winner is Claudia Renton for Those Wild Wyndhams (WilliamCollins).
Those Wild Wyndhams is Claudia Renton’s first book, and an astonishing feat of biography. Claudia is now a practising barrister, but she has also enjoyed a career as an actress, appearing with the RSC and at the National Theatre and (of most interest to us at SF!) as Polly Cazalet in the television adaptation of the books by Elizabeth Jane Howard.
