Broadley, John

Born in Huddersfield, John Broadley now lives and works in London. His highly detailed illustrations, characterized by rich texture and limited colour palettes, feature across a range of sectors, from food and drink to magazines and, more recently, children’s books. Since 2012 he has been the in-house illustrator at Quo Vadis restaurant in Soho where his illustrations adorn the menus and interiors. Other clients include Fortnum & Mason, Berry Bros., Liberty, the New Yorker, the Spectator, the New York Review of Books and the New York Times. The book While You’re Sleeping (Pavilion) was listed for several prizes and won a New York Times Best Illustrated Children’s Book Award in 2021.
