Christopher Rush was born in St Monans, Fife, and spent thirty years schoolmastering in Edinburgh. He wrote prolifically for a decade, fell silent for another, and returned to both writing and his sea-roots. His books include A Twelvemonth and a Day, which was reworked into the children’s book Venus Peter Saves the Whale, and To Travel Hopefully. He has also written two books on Shakespeare; Will and Sex, Lies and Shakespeare.
