Rebecca Campbell lives and works in London. She trained as an illustrator and this has led to her unique narrative style of work.
Her paintings have been described as ‘delightful, enigmatic and highly imaginative . . . Rebecca’s world is one of variety, eccentricity and joy.’ She grew up in the Irish countryside with a menagerie of animals and birds, and has since travelled extensively.
Her work has been particularly influenced by India’s Mughal miniature paintings with their rich earth colours, bold design and exquisite attention to detail. Her work has been published worldwide in books, magazines and as greeting cards and she has taken part in many large public art events, including with the charity Elephant Family (for whom she is in-house artist and ambassador).
