Endless hours of pleasurable reading | New this Summer from Slightly Foxed

‘How lucky we are to have so much wonderful reading matter, and so much choice. Slightly Foxed is great, giving taste and flavour which one can follow up as and when desired!’ M. Allison, UK

Greetings, dear readers, from Hoxton Square. We’re delighted to report that the new summer issue of Slightly Foxed, with a glorious cover by Tim Hayward, has now left the printing press at Smith Settle and should arrive with readers in the UK in the coming days and elsewhere over the next few weeks. We do hope it brings much reading pleasure.

And for those of you who are on a repeat order to receive our new limited-edition memoir each quarter, your usual hand-numbered copy of Toast by Nigel Slater will be with you very soon.

Meantime, the latest addition to our Plain Foxed Editions list has arrived with us here in the office: Michael Jenkins’s A House in Flanders. First published by Slightly Foxed as our 10th cloth-bound limited edition back in the summer of 2010, this new Plain Edition makes for the perfect summer reading.

While you wait for the new quarter’s offerings to arrive, you may like to browse the online edition of our Readers’ Catalogue, where you’ll find a full list of our cloth-bound limited-edition hardbacks, our soon-to-be sold out sets of classic children’s books, a collection of literary bundles and our pick of titles from the other publishers’ bookshelves.

As eagle-eyed readers will notice, the prices for various books on our website are less than their listings in the new summer catalogue. As we mentioned in last week’s news, despite our best efforts, from 1 June 2025 the cost of our Slightly Foxed EditionsPlain Foxed Editions and Foxed Cubs will be rising by £2 per book. We will be updating the website to bring it in line with the catalogue in due course so, if you’ve been thinking of stocking up, now’s your last chance to do so at the soon-to-be-old prices.

Everything listed on our website can be sent to you, or directly to a recipient, in good time for a date or occasion of your choice. Slightly Foxed subscribers can use their usual discount on all items, whether they are to be sent to you or to someone else. And the office is well-stocked with smart gift cards bearing wood engravings, reams of brown paper and signature cream foxed ribbon in anticipation.

With best wishes from the SF staff
