‘A fascinating book . . .’

‘I was thrilled to read Country Boy as I have been researching my family in Hardwick-cum-Weedon for about forty years – and had no idea that the book existed! The Seamons family had been in Weedon since about 1480. As far as I can see the Stranks arrived about 1760. I enjoyed the book hugely but wish the real names had been used all the way through. Oddly he does refer to the Batsums and Bones families that lived in the area. Thank you for introducing me to such a fascinating book. I only wish he had written more.’ G.R. Seamons, Peterborough
