Greetings from Hoxton Square where, with the latest Spring issue and our new edition of Portrait of a Marriage safely in the hands of readers in the UK (and slowly making their way to those in far-flung places), we’re looking ahead to the year to come.
Gail and Hazel will soon be sending the summer issue of the quarterly and summer book (Nigel Slater’s Toast) up to Smith Settle, Jennie is off hunting in second-hand bookshops and antique shops for photoshoot props, Steph is busy booking guests for upcoming podcast episodes and our annual Readers’ Day, and here in the office we’re fulfilling the new quarter’s delicious piles of orders for books, goods and our latest pick of titles from other publisher’s bookshelves.
With Readers’ Day 2025 in mind, for this week’s news, we thought we’d share a delicious offering from last year’s event when the author Luke Jennings gave a brilliant talk on his memoir Blood Knots (SFE no. 63) and took the time to sign ten sets of the much-lauded Killing Eve novels, which were adapted into the BAFTA-winning BBC TV series of the same name.
As a special spring offering, the complete set of three signed books – Codename Villanelle, No Tomorrow and Die For Me – are now available as a limited-edition bundle for the discounted price of £28. Compared to Ian Fleming’s ‘007’ novels, this collection makes the perfect gift for Killing Eve fans or for devouring on planes, trains and automobiles (of the bus or coach variety) or in a deckchair this summer.
Please see below for more details, as well as further last-chance offerings from the Slightly Foxed shelves, while stocks last.
With best wishes from the SF office staff
Isabel, Edie, Rebecca, Izzy & Jennie
