‘The quarterly itself is a joy and always sends me scurrying to my bookshelves to see if I just might have a copy of a long-forgotten book which one of your contributors has so tantalisingly brought back to my attention. The Slightly Foxed limited editions are so beautifully produced and a joy to handle as well as to read. Have just finished Dodie Smith’s Look Back with Love, which prompted me to read I Capture the Castle again, and to read it properly this time. On reflection I think that this is what you have done for me personally – after a lifetime of simply scanning books, papers, articles in my professional career, you have taught me to really read again.  I now have the time and the inclination to give books the attention they deserve.’ B.
