Greetings from Hoxton Square, where this time next week we will readying to shut up shop and head to Liverpool Street for the 14.52 to Norwich. From there we’ll tootle along to Holt to meet Hazel and Steph at The Holt Bookshop to toast our summer issue of Slightly Foxed, the new quarter’s SF Edition Life in Our Hands and Adrian Bell’s Summer Notebook, browse the shelves and talk books with friends and fellow readers.
The office will be closed from 11 a.m. on Thursday 4 and Friday 5 July whilst we are away, but the online shop will be open all hours as always, so please do feel free to place any orders as usual and they will be dispatched as soon as we return to our desks on Monday 8 July.
To tide you over reading wise, in this month’s article from our rich archive of back issues we’re ‘Taking the Plunge’ with Sarah Anderson, whose article in Slightly Foxed Issue 6 dives into Roger Deakin’s Waterlog.
Please find an extract from Sarah’s article below, together with a link to read the full piece on the Slightly Foxed website.
With best wishes from the SF staff
