Neil Gower is an internationally acclaimed graphic artist, best known for his book jackets (Bill Bryson, William Golding) and literary cartography (Kazuo Ishiguro, Jilly Cooper, Simon Armitage). As befits an artist, he was born into black and now inhabits white: respectively the coal of the 1960s Rhondda Valley and the chalk trails of the South Downs. He lives in Lewes and Kreuzberg, Berlin. Marking a shift from distilling the words of others into paint, his first collection of poetry, Meet Me in Palermo, was published in 2021 by the Frogmore Press. Follow him on Instagram @neiljgower.
