Office closure: a message to readers

Self-isolating FoxWe’re all facing extraordinary circumstances at the moment and at Slightly Foxed we have you, and the huge importance of books to help us through difficult times, very much in mind. Most of us are stuck at home now but to process orders and keep the show on the road Anna has been doing the long walk down to Hoxton Square from her home in Turnpike Lane, while Hattie has been staying in the bedroom at the office.

Now restrictions are tightening, and we know that you wouldn’t want these noble souls to take unnecessary risks on your behalf. So we’ve made the decision to close the office from Wednesday 25 March for the next few weeks. Gail and Hazel will be keeping in touch with you by newsletter to let you know what’s going on, and we’ll be fulfilling your orders again as soon as things start to ease. We’ve all sorts of exciting things in the pipeline and we’ll be back with you again as soon as we can. Meantime, we look forward to being with you (virtually) for our podcast on Evelyn Waugh on 15 April.

I am a grandchild of Henry Beston and Elizabeth Coatsworth. A friend told me about the article which mentions them in the spring edition of your magazine. I would love to buy a copy, but only see options for books or subscriptions. Is there some way I could purchase a single edition?
    Thank you,

Hello Isabella. Thank you very much for getting in touch, and how wonderful to hear of your familial connections to Henry Beston and Elizabeth Coatsworth. We have sent you an email regarding your query, but you can buy a single copy of the current issue on our website here: Slightly Foxed Issue 65
