The Prize will be awarded to the best book by a first-time biographer, and will be chosen by: Richard Davenport-Hines, prolific writer and biographer whose latest subject was John Maynard Keynes; Flora Fraser, historical biographer and author, most recently, of George and Martha Washington: A Revolutionary Marriage; Ysenda Maxtone Graham, critic and author of The Real Mrs Miniver and Mr Tibbits’s Catholic School.
