C is for Comyns, Barbara | From the Slightly Foxed archives

Dear Readers

We’re delighted that so many of you have been in touch to let us know you’re enjoying Gail and Hazel’s dispatches from town and country in their weekly Editors’ Diary. In the latest instalment, Hazel becomes lost in the world of sixth-century Roman Britain, Gail takes us on a virtual tour of Slightly Foxed artists’ works and a certain cocker spaniel is in the dog house.

In other news, we’re continuing our travels through the Slightly Foxed archives, selecting an article a week that everyone can read on our website for free. Today Sophie Breese revisits the novels of Barbara Comyns, her ‘comfort read of choice despite some discomfort along the way’, in this piece from SF Issue 42. Happy reading.

With best wishes, as ever, from the SF office staff
Jennie, Anna, Hattie, Jess & Helen
