Mary Sumner was an artist and printmaker who lived and worked in mid-Devon. Her work was rooted in her love for the English countryside and the creatures that inhabit it. Observations from her daily walks inspired her paintings, and plants, seascapes and gardens were also recurring themes. Mary died in June 2016.
Her work can still be seen in galleries throughout the UK and on her website: www.marysumner.com.
