From the Slightly Foxed bookshelves || John Moore, Brensham Village

On that Easter Sunday Brensham was dressed in white . . .

Easter greetings from Hoxton Square where the office foxes are feeling slightly guilty but mostly delighted at the prospect of having four days off, with little to do but lounge around and read, possibly with a glass of something cold in hand if the weather forecast for England is to be believed.

The SF office is closed from 5.30 p.m. Thursday 18 April until 9.30 a.m. on Tuesday 23 April for the Easter break so please don’t plan to stop by No. 53 for there’ll be no friendly faces in sight to welcome you in and pop the kettle on – which, as all of you know, you’re encouraged to do at most other times!

However, our online shop is open all hours as always, so do feel free to order books, invest in some bookplates, renew your subscription – or, indeed, take out a new subscription – while we’re away, and we’ll send out all orders as soon as we’re back at the packing desk.

We’ll look forward to being in touch with you again when we’re back. Meantime we’ll leave you to enjoy this suitably seasonal extract from John Moore’s Brensham Village, introduced by Sue Gee.
