About the artist
James Nunn was born in Yorkshire in 1973 and now lives in Bath. He is a self-taught artist. After an undergraduate degree and a Masters in contemporary poetry at the University of Manchester, he worked for many years as a book designer and illustrator. For the last twelve years he has combined this with his own practice as a fine artist. The two disciplines inform and nourish each other. His art helps his illustration avoid cliché, while his illustration lends themes and forms to his art: often the experiments in illustration form the basis for new standalone work. He regularly exhibits in London and Bath. His artwork features on the cover of two issues of Slightly Foxed. For more of his work and to buy prints see www.jamesnunnart.com or follow him on Instagram.
Please note that the Vulpes Postcards were produced from James Nunn’s original illustrations for in-house use at Slightly Foxed and have been made available for sale due to high demand from readers. The fee is nominal, and covers handling, packing and postage.
